National Police Week 2024 - See our Police Week Page
May 13, 2024 - Eagle Chapter spearheaded events in the Washington DC area to welcome the five families of fallen Air Force Defenders whose names will be officially recognized at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial during National Police Week 2024. A cornerstone event is the Fallen Defenders Families Reception that we are hosting at Joint Base Anacostia Bolling Washington DC on May 13.

Memorial Day 2024 Highlights - Military Womens Memorial
Eagle Chapter participated in the Memorial Day Program at the Military Women's Memorial at Arlington. Below our Vice Chair Tidewater Wing, Kathy Wojciechowski, lays the chapter wreath, places petals for the fallen Defenders who were female, and chats with the Honorable Christine E. Wormuth, Secretary of the Army.

Vietnam War Memorial Wall Wash - Washington DC June 24 at 0630/6:30AM
Above are images from our wall wash last year from our August 2022 wash. We also had a wash scheduled for August 2023 this year; but, due to unscheduled city protests, we cancelled this wash. Chief Master Sergeant (Retired) Jones comes up each year from Charleston South Carolina to spearhead our event. the Chief is the guy with the great looking vest and broad grin. See you next year!

55th Commemorative Wreath Laying Maisey Building Joint Base Anacostia Bolling Washington DC and Chapter Luncheon at the Pentagon to follow - January 31, 2023

Event organizer (background), Eagle Chapter Vice Chairman AF District of Washington, Karl Blinkinsop, observes along with others. Following the wreath laying, Eagle Chapter hosted the Maisey family with a Pentagon Tour and luncheon at the Pentagon in their honor.

Eagle Chapter Chairman Visit at Arlington National Cemetery to Lay Family Wreaths - December 18, 2022Arlington has approved drive on privileges for the Eagle Chapter Chairman's annual visit to Arlington National Cemetery to ensure wreaths are laid at the chapter and SFKIA fallen following the Wreaths Across America wreath laying at Arlington on Dec 17. The Chairman also lays an additional wreath when there is a family member buried with the Airman.

Eagle Chapter Luncheon at the Pentagon - October 17, 2022 - A Superb Event - Though the venue was smaller than anticipated - Thanks to all for their patience
The keynote speaker, Brigadier General Collins, the Air Force Top Cop, has been called away. We are honored to have Mr. SES Timothy A. Gerald, the Deputy Director of Security Forces Headquarters US Air Force has graciously stepped in to be our guest speaker. We are so honored by this and eagerly look forward to his remarks. SES Gerald was previously the Director of Security Forces, Air Force District of Washington.
Our other special guests include Brigadier General (Retired) Al Jamerson a former Air Force Top Cop. Thank-you sir!
We are also very much delighted to have the mom, dad, wife, and son of Lieutenant Colonel Brian Copper as our special guests. Lt Col Copper died of a health event while serving as Executive Officer for Brigadier General Collins.

Memorial Day Recognition at Arlington National Cemetery - Eagle Chapter places a Defensor Fortis Flag at Arlington National Cemetery to recognize SF KIAs and other SF members and family who are buried at Arlington. The Army's Old Guard places the US Flag on each grave while Eagle places one DF per grave as in the case shown - the group burial of Tech Sergeant Norton and Staff Sergeant McElroy we place a DF flag per SF hero.
